Why We Built This

It was a busy afternoon in the office as we were discussing a new design project. Chance, one of our team members, was flipping through sketches while rubbing his temples, clearly exhausted from a full day of work. Suddenly, he paused, looked up at us, and said, “I really need a quick break to recharge and stay focused.”

That’s when we realized—designers like Chance often need a brief moment to recharge between projects, but there’s hardly a suitable tool to help with that quick recovery.

That’s when it hit us—people in fields like finance, technology, and design, especially those who are constantly juggling tight deadlines and complex tasks, face the same issue: high work pressure, limited rest, and a lack of effective ways to recover.

So, we decided to do something simple—design a pillow. It’s compact, easy to carry, and can be used anytime, anywhere. Whether for a quick nap or a full night’s sleep, it provides comfortable support for your neck and head, giving you the rest you need to recharge and improve your overall sleep quality. This is the reason why RestBase Beta was born.

This time, we're taking the field ourselves!

In our past work, sxdesign has created many interesting designs and completed a variety of complex projects. However, we’ve never been just a studio focused solely on business—here, we’re a group of passionate designers, expert engineers in technology, innovative thinkers with cross-disciplinary knowledge, and dedicated researchers in scientific advancement.

For a long time, we’ve played the role of a “behind-the-scenes team”, providing technical solutions. But in this approach, we often face compromises in ideas and challenges in implementing them. After each delivery, we couldn't help but think: What if we could personally put these ideas into the hands of users? It would be a whole new breakthrough.

So this time, we’ve decided to step up ourselves.
